Screen & Camera Recording Studio for iOS and Mac
Effective: July 2026WiseStage is built with privacy as a core principle. Your recordings, edits, and everything you create are yours alone.
The short version: We don't collect personal information. Your recordings and media are processed on your device and never uploaded to us. Captions, transcription, and voice-over all run on-device. Anonymous crash reports and usage analytics are enabled by default to help improve the app, but you can disable them anytime in your device's settings.
WiseStage does not access or collect:
Recording, editing, and export all happen locally on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. We never upload your recordings to our servers or anyone else's.
Speech-to-text captions, transcription, and AI voice-over are generated on-device using Apple's built-in frameworks. Your speech and audio are not sent to us or to a cloud service to be processed.
WiseStage requests the following permissions to function:
To record your camera so you can appear in your videos — as a facecam, reaction, or picture-in-picture, including an iPhone used as a camera
To record narration and voice-overs for your videos
On-device only — to write captions for your videos and let the teleprompter follow along as you speak. Your speech never leaves your device.
To capture your screen when you record a screen or Studio session
To save the videos and screenshots you export. It only adds new items — it never reads your existing photos.
To help improve WiseStage, we collect anonymous data by default:
You can disable either or both anytime in iOS Settings > WiseStage. The app works fully without sharing any data.
This data is not used for advertising, profiling, or tracking users across apps or websites, as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency guidelines.

These services are provided by Google. Data is processed in an aggregated and anonymous manner and is not linked to your identity or shared with data brokers or advertisers. See Firebase Privacy for details.
Anonymous crash and analytics data is automatically deleted after 90 days by Firebase.
WiseStage is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app.
